I had intended to explore Glasgow a bit in one of the two trips I had planned into the city for a show, but thanks to rain and needed to get things done in Edinburgh I in and out both times, not seeing much other than the walk from the train station to the venue. Regardless, it seemed like a fun city and one I’d love to explore with a bit more time on my hands.
The first trip I got to see Jack Garratt, a new artist from the UK that I’ve been following for a bit now. This show I had just gone to simply as a fan but lucked out and ended up being right up front. The small space, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, was sold out and filled with perfect energy and super excited Jack who didn’t realize quite how big he is becoming (and was so humble and sweet after the show).
The second time around I caught Kate Voegele and Tyler Hilton with Gabrielle Ross at The Garage (also sold out and a larger space) and was reviewing and shooting for Broken Records Magazine. The pseudo One Tree Hill reunion happening on stage was fun to see with so many UK fans.
