Here is what I’ve been reading and watching –
Making Yourself Work – Zen Habits / Fast Company
Interesting advice for people making their own schedules
Why Age Matters At Work – Fast Comany
Found this very interesting, especially as I get ready to truly enter the workforce. In short, millennial know that we can make things happen and we don’t want to waste time along the way.
Race/Off – John Stewart / The Daily Show
The most brilliant combination of comedy and seriousness and one of the many reasons why I love TDS and why I consider it a more valuable news source.
Abercrombie ditching the logo – Chicago Tribune
We don’t want to pay obscene amounts to wear a companies name. Makes sense.
Sonic Highways Trailer – Foo Fighters
Dave Grohl is a genius.
Undercover Colors – IB Times
Yes there are other ways we can prevent rape all together, but it’s a cool idea and as someone who regularly paints her nails, a useful nail polish.
Johnny Manziel Takes on ‘Johnny JamBoogie’ Nickname in New Snickers Commercial – Bleacher Report
It made me laugh..
The model who fired back at Photoshop use – A+
Major props to this girl for standing up for herself and women around the world. Photoshop use has gone too far and it just needs to stop. Instead of a perfect body, we should be focusing on a healthy body (that can still be slim and toned).
Note taking – digital vs. paper – Washington Post
As someone who learns by writing things down, this is how I take notes and I agree that it is better. My study process is simple – I type or hand write notes in class, rewrite them within a week of the class and then when studying for an exam I hand write a study guide twice.
