Fall is probably one of my favorite times of the year. Possibly because if it isn’t summer in Arizona it’s basically fall the rest of the time. Maybe it’s also because I love apples and that’s when they’re “celebrated” so it just seems to work. Thanks to some Twitter browsing I found that an apple festival was going on at Borough market. With some time to kill and a desire to enjoy time outside, Heidi and I decided to take a trip and see what was going on. What I didn’t realize was this festival would be celebrating 1,000 years of Borough market with 1000 types of apples (the “Real” Apple Store had them on display).
From warm falafel wraps to mulled cider (both alcoholic and non) along with the purchase of a few jams, it was a perfect afternoon. A quick trip to Primark was also in order and led to the discovery of a random music festival near Oxford circus (this is why I love London).
