Q: What inspired you to be a drummer?
A: Travis Barker has definitely inspired me to be a drummer because of his original style of drumming. He has never failed to amaze me.
Q: Was it hard to be taken seriously being that you are a girl?
A: Yes, it was at first but that was something that I didn’t mind. Being a girl drummer just makes everything more unique. It’s a good way to let girls know that there is nothing that females can’t do.
Q: Who is your biggest idol?
A: My biggest idol would most definitely be Travis Barker. Watching Travis play always pushes me to keep going and to never give up on following my dreams. I could honestly say that I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for him.
Q: What is your favorite part about drumming?
A: My favorite part about drumming would have to be jamming because that is when I am able to express myself. I love to feel the music and let the beats just come out without putting a single thought to it. Drumming is something that always puts me in a good mood. No matter what I’m feeling, after a good session I’ll have the biggest smile.
Q: How do you balance school with your career?
A: Balancing school with my career is probably the hardest thing for me to do but with such a big passion for music and a drive to learn, I manage to make it work. I have to give up alot of things that normal teenagers do but I don’t mind too much because in the end it will be worth it.
Q: What has been the best moment of your career?
A: The best moment of my career would have to be playing street shows on tuesdays in Huntington Beach. The crowd is always fun, positive, and extremely supportive. I love meeting fans after a performance, they are simply amazing.
Q: Who would you most like to play drums for?
A: I would love to play for Blink-182 because they are my biggest influences and truly are amazing musicians.
