Q:Where do you find inspiration?
A: Sometimes it seems like I don’t really find inspiration, but it comes to me. I always try and look for it as much as I can, but it usually finds me. It usually just catches me in searching for live performances or new music.
Q: When did you start to write songs?
A: I started writing when I was in 5th grade, and it was just for fun at first; but then I started to enjoy what I was writing about.
Q: Where do you find courage to perform?
A: I think I just find it from within. Right before I go on stage, I’m just like, “Well here I go,” and I just suck it up and go out there. I just act like it’s nothing, when I’m actually really nervous.
Q: What do you love about music?
A: I really like the comforting feeling but also the freedom that it gives me. It really surprised me because watching interviews with artists about how music makes them feel at home, and I finally understand that feeling now that I’m working with it.
Q: What was your favorite play to act in?
A: Actually, I have a tie; my favorite was I played Marius in Les Miserables. And it was very classical and just really enlightened me as an actor and really taught me how live performances work. I also did High School Musical the Stage adaptation, and I was Troy and that was probably the most fun I’ve ever had on a show.
Q: Would you rather do TV or stage?
A:Definitely, TV; I think.
Q: If you could be in any TV show what would it be?
A: I would probably want to be Billy Joel and just give him a TV show.
Q: Where can people listen to your music?
A: We just started a MySpace, and I have three songs on there; and I’m also going to add some live performances on there, too. I also have a twitter, so people can keep up with me and all that.
Q: Who are your favorite artists?
A: Billy Joel, Boston, Electric Light Orchestra, Super Tramp, a lot of band from the late 70’s, and Elton John, Queen, all those people.
Q: If you could record a song with one of them and perform with one of them who would it be?
A: It would probably be Billy Joel and the entire band of Electric Light Orchestra.
Q: What was it like to be an extra on some TV shows?
A: It was really fun! I did Sonny with a Chance and Wizards of Waverly Place; and I had a feature part on it. On Sonny, I was Sterling Knight’s entourage member and I was his number one fan; but it was no lines just feature. It was really fun though and they were all really nice. Everyone that works on a Disney Channel show, the whole cast and crew, are like family. They are just really close and really nice and it’s just awesome.
